With new technology, we are now able to maximize each individual donation by collecting two units of red blood cells during one donation.
- Two transferable units of red blood cells
- Smaller needle used than for whole blood donation
- Fluid replacement helps donors feel better
- Fewer trips to the blood center
- Fewer reminder phone calls
Donors must meet the following requirements for participating in this program, in addition to being at least 16 years of age:
- Male
Height: 5’1”
Weight: 130 lbs.
Hematocrit: 40%
- Female
Height: 5’5”
Weight: 150lbs.
Hematocrit: 40%
