On January 26th, a group of students from Annie Wright came to our Tacoma facility for a tour and lunch. They spent time visiting the laboratory and other CRBS departments, learning more about the blood center and it’s operations. Elizabeth Porter served as the student leader for the Community Service Group who helped sponsored their February 3rd blood drive, during which the students registered 16 blood donors. Annie Wright is a smaller school and has a large percentage of their eligible donors who donate. The school has been a long time blood drive sponsor. Thanks also to Christian Bitterauf, the group’s teacher advisor. It was obvious he had done a tremendous job of educating his class about blood donations and many other topics pertaining to the subject.
