Karen Vaver: Second Grade Teacher. Mom. Blood Donor
I teach in the University Place School District and started giving blood one Sunday morning when the Bloodmobile came to the UP Presbyterian Church. Giving blood was something that I had always meant to do, but I just never got started. The Bloodmobile gave me that chance. I have continued giving blood at the nearby center and whenever the Bloodmobile comes around. Donating blood is a way for me to share the blessing of good health.
